Sun Developer Network is your source for Java technology and other Sun technology solutions. Sun Developer Network provides you, the professional developer, with the tools, technologies and expertise you need to maximize your productivity, through a variety of on- and off-line resources. 2. How do I join Sun Developer Network?
To join Sun Developer Network, follow the steps outlined on the Profile and Registration page.

3.How do I update my account information?
To update your Sun Online Account ID, go to the Profile and Registration page. To update your Sun Developer Network membership subscriptions, visit the Sun Developer Network Publications page.

4. How do I subscribe/unsubscribe to Sun Developer Network newsletters?
To subscribe to newsletters, you must be a member of the Sun Developer Network. Once you have created a Sun Online Account ID, you may change your mailing preferences at the Sun Developer Network Publications page.

5. How do I retrieve a forgotten Sun Online Account ID or password?
If you know your Sun Online Account ID, you can use the Password mailer form to have a new password e-mailed to you. If you have forgotten your Sun Online Account ID, use the site feedback form to contact us.

6. I'm having trouble logging in to my Sun Online Account, what should I do?
First, clear your cache.

Netscape users please follow these steps - Select Edit - Preferences - Advanced - Cache - Clear Disk Cache, Clear Memory Cache and click OK. Next, make sure your browser is enabled for cookies. To access restricted Sun Developer Network you need to have cookies enabled. All browsers are configured a little differently, so check your browser's menu options for enabling cookies and follow your browser's procedures.

7. How do I test if my browser is enabled for cookies?
  1. Go to the URL http://java.sun.com
  2. Clear the location bar and enter javascript:alert(document.cookie)

8. What if I don't want to accept cookies?
Users have the option of not accepting browser cookies. However, due to current site technology, if you do not accept the cookie, you will not be able to access content areas restricted to members.

9. How do I update my SDN member status?
In order to update your SDN membership status, please go the following account update page.

To update your member status, go to the "Join Sun Developer Network?" question and choose the desired radio button, then click the "Finish" button to save your changes.
