Animation industry seeks government aid According to NASSCOM's Animation report, the size of the Indian animation market (from the developers' perspective) is expected to witness a CAGR of 35 per cent from 2005-2009 and increase to $950 million by 2009. The report also states that currently there are only 3,000 skilled personnel against a demand for 10,000. Lack of skilled personnel and specialized training institutes could be a major factor hampering the growth of the domestic animation industry.
