American English Unicode (en_US.UTF-8) Full Locale

Beginning with Solaris 8, all Unicode locales benefit from the native input systems and methods of Asian locales. To use Asian native input methods in Unicode locales, you must install the Asian locales that you want to use. For example, if you want to use Japanese input systems in Unicode locales, you must install at least one of the available Japanese locales.

Beginning with Solaris 9, the en_US.UTF-8 locale is an optional locale; it is no longer automatically installed when you install the system. As with other optional locales, It can be selected during system installation, or locale packages can be added later.
