Installation of Base Components for Sun JCA Adapters

Follow the instructions below to install the required base components for Sun JCA Adapters.

To Install Base Components

  1. Extract the contents of the AdapterPack.zip file to a local directory.
  2. Download and install GlassFish UR1 (build gfv2ur1-b09d) from https://glassfish.dev.java.net/downloads/v2ur1-b09d.html.
  3. Download the JBI core installer or use the jbi-core-installer.jar file available.
  4. Run the installer JAR file (jbi-core-installer.jar) by executing java -jar jbi-core-installer.jar c:\glassfish install where c:\glassfish is the full path to the GlassFish directory.
  5. Start GlassFish. For example: c:\glassfish\bin\asadmin start-domain domain1
  6. Execute the runtime component installer from glassfish/bin. For example, if the contents of the AdapterPack.zip file were extracted to c:/asant -f C:\AdapterPack\Runtime\install.xml, modify the properties in /AdapterPack/Runtime/install for the GlassFish admin port.
