Installing Third-Party JAR Files
The Java Development Kit (JDK) must be installed, and the JAVA_HOME environment variable must be set, on the computer on which you install Java CAPS prior to beginning the installation. This is required to perform the installation and for Java CAPS utilities, such as Enterprise Manager Command-Line Client and Command Line Code Generation, to function correctly. Different operating systems require different JDK. To determine which JDK you need, see Installing JDK and Setting JAVA_HOME in Using the Java CAPS 6 Installation CLI or Installing JDK and Setting JAVA_HOME in Using the Java CAPS 6 Installation GUI.
