Creating a Project

When you create a project, the IDE does the following:

Displays the new project in the Projects window. If it's the first project created, it becomes the main project. If necessary, you can change the main project.
Opens a page for you to edit in the Visual Designer.
Puts all the files in the $HOME/Creator/Projects directory on a UNIX® or Mac OS system or in the MyDocuments/Creator/Projects folder on a Microsoft Windows system. You also can set where the IDE creates new projects.

To create a project:

From the main menu, choose File > New Project or, in the Welcome window, click Create New Project.
In the New Project wizard, specify the project category and type and click Next.
Specify the project type and name and click Finish.

After you create the project, you can view the files in the Projects window or the Files window.
