When you create a project, the IDE creates all project files in the following directory:

When you change this location, existing projects remain in their current location, but new projects are created in the new location.

To change the location where projects are created:

  1. From the main menu, choose Tools > Options.

  2. In the Options window, select the Basic view.

  3. Scroll down and select Project Settings.

  4. In the Properties node on the right side of the window, click the ellipsis button (...) next to Default project folder.

  5. In the Default Project Folder dialog box, browse to the location where you want to create new projects and click OK.
