About the Projects and Files Windows

The Projects window and the Files window provide you with organized views of the items in a project. To switch between views, click the tab.

• Projects window. The Projects window represents project elements as nodes in a tree, providing a logical view of the project structure and content. To open the Projects window, choose View > Projects.
   
  
• Files window. The Files window shows the actual physical storage of the project files. To open the Files window, choose View > Files.
   
  

Nodes, Icons, and Commands

Each project element has its own nodes and icons. Each item also provides its own pop-up menu for performing management tasks, such as adding new pages, specifying external library references, and exploring the Java class files that make up the application. Double-clicking is a shortcut for opening an item, such as expanding a folder or opening a document in an editor.

Properties

Properties for the item selected in the Projects or Files window are displayed in the Project Properties dialog box. To open this dialog box, right-click the project name and choose Properties.
