This screencast shows how the development experience for creating a jMaki-enabled Rails application is drastically simplified, and how a jMaki-wrapped Yahoo and Dojo DataTable widget can be used to pull data from MySQL database using ActiveRecord in a Rails application.
Creating Mashups with jMaki - Display RSS feed in jMaki Widgets
This demo shows a very simple mashup that pulls an RSS feed from a blog entry and displays it in two different widgets, without any extra effort. The NetBeans IDE is used for tooling and the jMaki-enabled Web application is deployed on GlassFish.
