Adding True Type Fonts to Solaris

How to add TrueType (.ttf) fonts for X11 to a Solaris user's account.

Sun Indian Language TrueType Font

The Indic fonts previously available on the this web site (for use with the Solaris 9 Operating System) have been updated and improved, and are now available for download in TrueType format. The fonts previously available were in BDF (Bitmap Distribution File) format.
The TrueType fonts support the following scripts:

• Hindi
• Bengali
• Gurmukhi
• Gujarati
• Tamil
• Malayalam
• Telugu
• Kannada

These fonts can be used in conjunction with CTL-enabled builds of Mozilla 1.4.x.
