Q:
What is JavaOne Online?
A:
The JavaOne Online program delivers multimedia sessions, hands-on labs, and static PDF files from the JavaOne conference in San Francisco. Each multimedia session has the speaker's audio, slides, and transcripts from the session all synchronized in a Flash format presentation. With the addition of the speaker's voice and transcripts, the multimedia session gives a great deal more information to the user than the static PDF.

Q:
Are the sessions available from JavaOne Online in PDF format?
A:
Yes, the PDFs are also available for all sessions. However, the multimedia sessions offer a more robust learning experience such as:
- Speaker's audio gives detailed information on the presentation content.
- Text transcription taken from the audio helps users gain clearer understanding of content when a speaker is hard to understand or talks too fast.
- Full color slides work in synchronization with the text transcription and audio creating a user experience similar to watching the session at the actual Conference.
This rich format allows developers to experience the session in full and enhances the learning process.

Q:
I have a password and userid but I cannot login to the sessions. What do I do?
A:
There are several things to try:
Sometimes, cutting and pasting the login and password leaves a 'blank' after the login name or password. Make sure it is the exact ID and password since the verification is case-sensitive.
You may need to log-in again if prompted when you click to access a multimedia session. Even if you are logged in when accessing other SDN benefits, you may need to relogin on the JavaOne Online session page.
Make sure your Caps lock is not enabled when typing your userid and password.
