Building Ajax-Enabled JavaServer Faces Web Applications With jMaki, Dynamic Faces, and the NetBeans IDE

This lab demonstrates a variety of approaches to incorporating Ajax functionality into JavaServer Faces web applications. In Part I, you use Dynamic Faces technology to build an Ajax chat room web application with components that are themselves Ajax-unaware, also known as POJC (Plain Old JavaServer Faces Components). In Part II, you shift gears and build an Ajax-enabled Image Slider JavaServer Faces component from scratch, complete with visual design-time capabilities. In Part III you build another Ajax-enabled JavaServer Faces component, also complete with visual design-time capabilities, this time based on an existing jMaki image browser widget.
