Extending Swing: Creating Your Own Components

When you are creating a rich client application, you will require special custom user interface components. The Swing APIs are powerful enough to enable you to create any component you might need. This session presents a process you can use to develop any custom component, demonstrating the methodology with a set of example components. While showing how to develop those components, it offers a lot of tips and tricks. The presentation puts special emphasis on smooth transitions between states and shows some graphics techniques.
