Early Access

The following J2ME products and technologies were made available through the Early Access Release Program this month:

JSR-219 J2ME Foundation Profile 1.1 Early Access
Defines a revision to the J2ME Foundation Profile, and provides updates (based on J2SE, v1.4) to the existing core, non-graphical Java APIs for small electronic devices.

JSR-218 J2ME Connected Device Configuration (CDC) 1.1 EA
Defines a revision to the J2ME CDC specification, and provides updates (based on J2SE, v1.4) to the existing core, non-graphical Java APIs for small electronic devices.

JSR-217 Personal Basis Profile 1.1 Early Access
Updates the existing Personal Basis Profile (JSR-129) specification to reflect the J2SE 1.4 APIs.

JSR-216 J2ME Personal Profile 1.1 Early Access
Updates the existing Personal Profile (JSR-62) specification to reflect the J2SE 1.4 APIs.


Product and Technology Releases

The following J2ME and Java Card products and technologies were recently released:

JSR-169 JDBC Optional Package for CDC/Foundation Profile 1.0 Final Release
Defines a JDBC Optional Package for J2ME, CDC Foundation Profile. This optional package will contain equivalent functionality to the java.sql package provided in the Java 2 Standard Edition (J2SE platform).
