Product and Technology Releases

The following J2ME and Java Card products and technologies were recently released:

JSR-226 Scalable 2D Vector Graphics API for J2ME 0.9
Proposed Final Draft
Defines an optional package API for rendering scalable 2D vector graphics, including image files, in W3C Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) format.

JSR-177: Security and Trust Services API for J2ME
Provides J2ME applications with APIs for security and trust services through the integration of a Security Element.

JSR-133 - Java Memory Model and Thread Specification Revision PFD
Describes the semantics of threads, locks, volatile variables, and data races. This includes what has been referred to as the Java memory model (SVG) format.

JSR-234 Advanced Multimedia Supplements 1.0 Early Draft Review
Defines an optional package for advanced multimedia functionality which is targeted to run as a supplement in connection with MMAPI (JSR-135) in a J2ME/CLDC environment.
