Network Operators and Carriers

Wireless network operators and carriers offer over-the-air services, or have relationships with handheld manufacturers to provide them with a wide range of services including, but not limited to, mobile phone rental or data/fax/phone cards (smart cards).

Wireless network operators look for unique offerings that are likely to attract new customers and retain old customers. If you want to market your wireless application or service to a network operator or carrier, it should do the following:

  • Distinguish the operator's or carrier's offerings from those of another operator or carrier.
  • Increase air time usage, such as network gaming or movie ticket purchasing
  • Perform a function that is so compelling to customers that everyone will want to use it.
