| General Description |
Lucent Technologies offers communications service providers the most complete portfolio of products and solutions through two primary operating units: Integrated Network Solutions (INS) for wireline service providers and Mobility Solutions for mobile service providers. Lucent's MiLife Developer Program is aimed at developers building applications for the MiLife Intelligent Services Gateway (ISG), an OSA/Parlay/XML based service mediation gateway that bridges the IT and Telecoms worlds. Once registered, developers gain access to Lucent development resources, including SDK's, documentation, sample applications and more. These resources enable developers to develop enhanced applications and services that can utilize network-based capabilities, such as call control, user location, user status, personalized settings, and charging mechanisms. Developers are able to increase their exposure to the mobile operator community and expand the market potential for their applications.

- Toolkit
The MiLife ISG SDK is available at no cost for developers, who are able to create and host applications external to the mobile operator's environment and link the applications to one or more operators who have purchased the MiLife ISG. Documentation, a rich simulator, and numerous sample programs are also available.
