Authoring Community Services With Portal Server

Community is an exciting new feature introduced in Sun Java System Portal Server (hereafter Portal Server) 7. This feature allows users to create personalized, collaborative web pages and share those pages with other portal users. Portal Server 7.1 Update 1 enhances the Community feature by adding flexible access control and powerful community management abilities.

This article gives an overview of the Community feature and describes how developers can create new collaborative applications that integrate with the community feature.
