Sun Java System Application Server 8 2004Q4 - Beta Availability

Sun Microsystems invites you and your organization to participate in the Beta Program for Sun Java System Application Server 8 2004Q4. As a valued customer and business partner, your input is very important to us and will impact our product design going forward.

Why should you participate in the beta program?

• Gives you the unique opportunity to gain early access to new products and features.
• Allows you to directly influence the success of the products and their future evolution.
• Enables you to interact with our engineering and product management to gain a better understanding of our technology and roadmap.

In order to match your resources and availability, we have three tiers based on varying levels of commitment.

Appropriate for customers and partners who have complex applications, products or environments as part of their proposed beta plans and / or for customer who have less experience of Sun's products. All candidates will be reviewed (by completing a questionnaire) and only qualified candidates will be selected. What you can expect from Sun: Sun will provide a maximum of 5 working days of on-site support by a qualified Sun engineer.

What is expected of you: Participants can file bugs and RFEs via web bugs and will be asked to complete a post-beta questionnaire. Successful participants should be willing to become references for Sun's products (as used in the beta).

Participants are expected to have a certain amount of product expertise and commit resources to an approved beta plan. All candidates will be reviewed (by completing a questionnaire) and only qualified candidates will be selected.

What you can expect from Sun: Sun will provide weekly conference calls to track progress and provide product support.

What is expected of you: Participants can provide feedback on the weekly calls, can file bugs and RFEs via web bugs and will be asked to complete a post-beta questionnaire.

This is a public beta; no formal commitment is required from participants other than to comply with the Binary Code License. This tier only applies to the Platform Edition. What you can expect from Sun: Sun will provide support via forums.
