Presented by Brendan Gregg, co-author of Solaris Performance and Tools Find out how to debug JavaScript using DTrace. With the popularity of Web 2.0 technologies such as Ajax, there is an increasing need for powerful debugging tools that can examine complex JavaScript software. DTrace can examine JavaScript code execution in realtime, allowing the identification of performance issues and bugs. By using DTrace for JavaScript debugging, all sofware layers in the system can be examined from the same tool, such as the software of the browser and the kernel. For example, DTrace may help you prove that a performance issue is actually a bug in the browser - and not your JavaScript code. CSI:Munich - How to save the world with ZFS and 12 USB Sticks
Here's a fun video that shows how cool the Sun Fire X4500 (codename: Thumper) is and how you can create your own Thumper experience on your laptop using Solaris ZFS and 12 USB sticks. This is from Constantin Gonzalez's weblog. DTrace - Using SDT Probes
