Multithreaded Programming
'Multithreaded', 'parallel', 'throughput', 'concurrent' programming. "A rose by any other name..." We're going to use Multithreaded. Presumably, you came here to find out what Sun is doing, what Sun knows, and what Sun thinks about application development in the multithreaded environment. We're going to give you that, and as time goes on, we will expand that charter to try to give you everything we can find out, as well. So, it's Multithreaded here, and some of the resources cited won't use that term, but you'll know what they are talking about, and by the end of the next quarter, you'll be ready for what's next.
