Operating system patches and product patches are provided for Sun ONE Studio 7 Enterprise Edition software. These patches are required for the proper operation of the compilers and tools in this release. Since Sun ONE Studio 7 Enterprise Edition includes two tools, Sun ONE Studio 4.1 Enterprise Edition and Sun ONE Studio 7, you need to get the patch from both tools. Note: Sun ONE Studio 7 Enterprise Edition only supports Solaris SPARC platform
In addtion, Java 2 Standard Edition (J2SE) technology required patches are provided in the J2SE installer for Sun ONE Studio 7 Enterprise Edition software. These patches are required for the proper operation of the J2SE technology with the Solaris Operating System (OS). Both the Operating system and J2SE patches are installed automatically unless you change the default selection on the Select Components page during the installation processes. And remember, you can always get the latest revision of the patch from Sunsolve.
