Sun Studio 12 Update 1 Patches

Operating system patches are provided with Sun Studio 12 Update 1 software. These patches are required for the proper operation of the compilers and tools in this release. The Sun Studio 12 Update 1 Installation Guide lists the Solaris Operating System (OS) patches included with this release.

You can install the operating system patches using the install_patches.sh utility that is included when you download the Sun Studio 12 Update 1 package installer. For detailed information, please refer to Installing the Required Solaris OS Patches and Appendix D in the Sun Studio 12 Update 1 Installation Guide. And remember, you can always get the latest revision of the patch from SunSolve.

Additional operating system patches and product patches are recommended to resolve specific issues that might or might not affect your use of the Sun Studio 12 Update 1 software. These patches are not included in the download. To install these patches, download them from SunSolve and follow the instructions in the README file included with the patch, which contains important information on risks and proper procedure.
