Option 1:
 Download Package Installer (Multi-Language) This option installs Sun Studio software as Solaris or Linux packages. A variety of Sun support options, from incident to contract, are available for Sun Studio in this configuration. Please visit Sun Developer Services to learn more.
Option 2:
Download Tarfile Installer (Multi-Language)This option extracts the installed version of Sun Studio software from a tarfile without using Solaris or Linux packages. You do not need root
access to your system to use this option. See the Tarfile Information Page for more details on tarfile installation.
Sun support is not available for this configuration nor
can the software be updated with patches. Community support is available
through the
Sun Studio forums.
Option 3:
For systems running the OpenSolaris OS. See Sun Studio Software in OpenSolaris Repositories for information on downloading and installing Sun Studio software on your OpenSolaris system.
