Welcome to the Open
Translation website
|
This site has been created to provide translation guidelines and
advice, and to share translation tools with users and developers who
would like to improve open source products. Our hope is that this
information will encourage even greater collaboration than already
exists between Sun and all our communities and partners: Each
translation
community works independently, with or without an explicit translation
policy. We hope that this website can bring people together and
unify the network of information that exists in so many different
places.
This website offers downloads and access to the tools we'd like to
share with people involved in translation. For general feedback
and questions, please use the feedback form below. You can also
subscribe to language-specific mailing lists on the relevant page
for your language.
Our vision is "Everyone and everything participating on the
network". Our mission is to design the technologies and fuel the
communities that power the Participation Age - the increasingly
interactive and collaborative successor to the Information Age.
By sharing key innovations, Sun breaks down the barriers to learning
about
and interacting with Sun. We have been targeting the communities
from
the word go, because they are the source of the energies required to
take
our innovation - our unique capability - and translate it into creative
achievements. Sun inspires the communities to make their own offerings
more innovative, thus increasing the competitive advantage of their own
businesses.
