Web Server 7.0 Update 5 is an update release to Web Server 7.0. In addition to the features and enhancements in Web Server 7.0 and Web Server 7.0 Update 1, Update 2, Update 3 and Update 4 releases, Web Server 7.0 Update 5 introduces binary logging, which allows server information to be stored in a single log file that contains binary, unformatted log data of all the Web sites hosted on a server. Web Proxy Server 4.0.9 is a full install. It will upgrade existing Sun Java System Web Proxy Server 4.0 configurations or can be installed by itself. It collects data from the network, determines the destination of the data, and distributes it accordingly. Acting as a network traffic manager, it reduces the number of requests to remote content servers and reduces network traffic. The result is that wait times are lowered and network performance is boosted. |
